Looking for a team?
Individual teams in SAWHA are self-managed and are in charge of who is on their team. If you are interested in playing in our leauge there are a few routes you can take.
#1 – Join the sub list! Fill out this form
#2 – Join our Facebook Group, and post that you are looking for a team. Pro Tip: Let people know your skill level, and what position you are looking to play.
Please refer to our tier descriptions to help decide where you might fit best in the league.
We do our best to help individuals find a place to play, but there is no guarentee.
SAWHA TIER DESCRIPTIONSÂ
Tier 1
Played at a University/college level recently (U18 AAA & AA)
Tier 2
Have played competitively-10 yrs plus, very strong skills (especially skating) (U18 AA & A)
Tier 3
Have played competitively- 5 yrs plus, strong skills and know the rules. (U18 A, top of B)
Tier 4
Have played competitively, strong skills and knowledge required. (U18 B)
Tier 5
Have played competitively, strong skills and knowledge required. (U18 B)
Tier 6
Competitive recreational level, or older players, not as competitive, must be able to skate and stick handle.
Tier 7
Fair and competitive play is at the heart of this tier.
